Job Title: Health and Coordination Advisor
Job location: PortSudan/Khartoum, Sudan

JOB SUMMARY
The Health and Coordination Advisor plays a pivotal role in ensuring effective coordination between MedGlobal’s HQ, country office, and field teams while providing technical guidance across all health programs. The position strengthens strategic engagement with the Health Cluster, MoH, and humanitarian partners to ensure high-quality, evidence-based, and coordinated health responses in line with national and cluster priorities.
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Technical Support and Program Quality
• Provide technical oversight and guidance to MedGlobal’s health programs in Sudan, ensuring compliance with global and national standards.
• Support the design, implementation, and monitoring of primary and secondary healthcare activities, with a focus on quality of care and service continuity.
• Review and advise on medical protocols, health information systems, and clinical governance.
• Support capacity-building initiatives for MedGlobal staff and health partners, including training and mentoring.
2. Coordination and Representation
• Represent MedGlobal at the national Health and Nutrition Cluster and relevant technical working groups.
• Coordinate with WHO, UNICEF, MoH, and other actors to ensure MedGlobal’s interventions are well integrated and aligned with the national humanitarian response.
• Facilitate timely information sharing between field teams, country office, and HQ.
• Support MedGlobal’s participation in inter-agency assessments, joint planning, and emergency preparedness initiatives.
3. Strategic and Operational Advisory
• Advise the Country Director on emerging health needs, policy changes, and coordination challenges.
• Support development of concept notes, proposals, and reports with strong technical inputs.
• Contribute to strategic planning, project reviews, and technical evaluations.
4. Internal Coordination and Knowledge Management
• Bridge communication between technical teams at HQ and field operations.
• Lead internal coordination meetings on health programming and ensure technical consistency across sites.
• Promote learning and knowledge exchange from field experience to inform MedGlobal’s global practices.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
• Advanced degree in Medicine, Public Health, or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in humanitarian or public health programming, with at least 3 years in coordination or technical advisory roles.
• Proven experience engaging with Health Cluster coordination mechanisms and national MoH structures.
• Strong analytical, communication, and diplomatic skills.
• Fluency in English required; Arabic is an asset.
