JOB SUMMARY
We are looking for Health & Nutrition Officer to provides professional technical assistance and support for program/project design, planning, implementation, monitoring, evaluation, and administration of program/project activities, including data collection, analysis, progress reporting, knowledge networking and capacity building, in support of the achievement of planned objectives of the work plan, aligned with Health & Nutrition program goals, based Dongola with frequent field visits
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Accurate information, data collection, analysis, and documentation on a timely made available to support situation analysis, sectoral input, and reporting.
• To provide technical assistance to the development and implementation of integrated health, nutrition, and WASH strategies and approaches through participation and collaboration with internal and external partners.
• Work plan and objectives are effectively established and planned results are timely delivered through technical support and coordination in consultation with all relevant partners.
• Support implementation and supervision of CMAM, IMCI & SRH activities at HF and mobile teams’ levels and at nutrition services sites.
• Ensure transparency for supply and non-supply assistance and disbursement of program funds for health and nutrition.
• Effective partnerships and working relationships are maintained for advocacy, technical coordination, information sharing, and knowledge networking.
• Up-to-date program information is kept available, and reports are prepared and shared with relevant stakeholders as required to support the Health & Nutrition program by the effective implementation of an integrated monitoring system.
• Assists in the preparation and periodic update of the situation analysis by compiling health and nutrition data, analyzing and evaluating relevant information and providing the technical input in a timely and accurate manner.
• Provides technical assistance in the integration of the Health & Nutrition program with other sectors in collaboration with other sectors, particularly Health, Nutrition, WASH, SRH, MHPSS and program communication.
• Assists in the design, planning, monitoring and evaluation of the Health & Nutrition program to be implemented in the localities and keep follow up.
• Delivery and management of supplies to the targeted health facilities from the NGOs warehouses.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
- A Bachelor university degree in public health and/or nutrition, or other relevant disciplines.
- 2-4 years of professional work experience in health and nutrition, planning, programming, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of health programmers.
- Experience in coordinating and managing various programmed units and ability to establish and maintain working relations with government counterparts.
- Experience in training facilitation and strong interpersonal communication skills with the ability to communicate and negotiate clearly and effectively at all levels.
- Field experience in the Emergency or Development fields Experience in working in an NGO providing health care services will have additional value.
- Experience in Project design and government and donor liaison.
- In-depth knowledge of the broad range of Medical-related projects Monitoring and evaluation.
- Fluency in Arabic and English with effective communication skill (verbal/nonverbal)
- Effective presentation of relevant information (oral & written)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office packages and Google suite.
Refereed Knowledge:
Experience in planning, implementing humanitarian health and nutrition programs, preferably with INGOs Proven experience in emergency nutrition settings, BCC, PHC and others like CMAM (SC, OTP, SFP and GM), IYCF, MtMSG, FBPMAM, and epidemic/outbreak investigation and response
- Any other tasks requested by the line manager.
