Job Location: Sudan – Dongola (with travel / relocation to other to other states)
Reports to: Sudan Country Representative (with matrix management Programs Director at HQ)
NOTE: this position is open to international candidates only in MENA region or Sudan neighboring countries.

MedGlobal is a global humanitarian non-profit organization providing medical and health education services to people in need, including refugees and displaced persons, in disaster and underserved regions. The organization is composed of medical and public health professionals of diverse backgrounds.
JOB SUMMARY
The Program Manager is responsible for leading the strategic design, implementation, and monitoring of MedGlobal health, WASH, and nutrition programs in Sudan, ensuring alignment with humanitarian standards and organizational objectives. This role oversees program quality through robust monitoring and evaluation systems, coordinates with stakeholders including government bodies, UN agencies, and NGOs, and represents MedGlobal in sectoral clusters and advocacy forums.
The Program Manager plays a key role in resource mobilization by developing proposals and donor reports, while also driving communications and visibility efforts to highlight program impact. With a focus on evidence-based interventions, the position requires frequent field visits to assess needs, troubleshoot challenges, and ensure services reach vulnerable populations effectively. The Program Manager ensures compliance with MedGlobal policies and international guidelines while fostering partnerships to amplify the organization’s mission in Sudan’s complex humanitarian context.
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Program Management, Implementation & Quality Assurance
• Oversee all MedGlobal projects , ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
• Manage project managers and project coordinators, and MEAL who are leading projects in Sudan.
• Ensure that donor-funding projects are implemented on time with high quality impactful results.
• Implement MedGlobal MEAL framework and ensure timely and accurate data collection and analysis.
• Conduct field visits to assess program effectiveness and troubleshoot challenges.
Coordination, Partnerships and Fundraising
• Represent MedGlobal in UN cluster meetings, donor engagements, and NGO coordination.
• Identify funding opportunities and lead donor proposal development.
• Strengthen partnerships with government agencies, INGOs, and local NGOs.
Communications and Advocacy
• Internal Reporting:
- Prepare program updates, success stories, and reports for HQ and donors.
- Ensure timely submission of narrative reports aligned with donor requirements.
• External Visibility:
- Working closely with the global communications team, ensure the routine development of quality impactful public communications materials (case studies, social media content) highlighting program impact.
• Advocacy:
- Engage in policy dialogues with stakeholders (UN, NGOs, government) to influence health/WASH priorities.
- Represent MedGlobal in advocacy forums to promote health access for vulnerable populations.
Technical Leadership
• Ensure programs meet international health standards (e.g., WHO, SPHERE).
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
• Bachelor’s degree in public health, International Development, or related field (master’s is preferred).
• Minimum of 7 years in humanitarian program management (health/WASH/nutrition focus).
• Experience in donor reporting, proposal writing, and budget management.
• Strong understanding of Sudan’s humanitarian context.
• Fluency in English and Arabic. (Arabic is a must)
• Ability to work under pressure in high-risk environment.
